Loy Owens built a legacy on a simple belief: technology should serve your business, not complicate it. After a 30-year career rising through the ranks of iconic retail brands — including Kroger, Albertsons, Safeway, and HEB — Loy combined deep retail expertise with technical training from SMU's School of Engineering and Applied Science to found Retail Merchant Services (RMS) in Conroe, Texas in 2007. Under his leadership, RMS grew into a full suite of integrated retail and security solutions, including Citadel POS, Citadel Security, and Citadel Cameras — serving businesses across the greater Houston area and beyond. Loy's people-first philosophy shaped not just the products, but the culture: one built on trust, accountability, and a relentless focus on the customer. As he steps into retirement, he leaves behind a company — and a family — ready to carry that mission forward.
